“Siddhant Chaturvedi Is My Choice”
Yuvraj Singh, who was instrumental in India winning two world cups, has revealed which actor he would like to see play his character in his biopic if it made.
The explosive batsman chose Bollywood actor Siddhant Chaturvedi to act in his role. Chaturvedi is famous for his purposes in the movie Gully Boy and Amazon Prime series Inside Edge.
In the movie Gully Boy, he portrayed the role of a rapper Mc Sher, a close accomplice of Ranveer Singh. The part brought him several accolades.
He was also awarded Filmfare Award for The Best Supporting Actor for the movie. Moreover, the actor has uncanny resemblances with the former cricketer.
The left-hand batsman initially said that he would like himself to play the role, but if it has to be a Bollywood actor, he will pick Siddhant Chaturvedi.
Yuvraj said as quoted by TOI,” Probably, I’d play myself — that would be a bit desperate… (chuckles) hai? See, that’s the director’s job to decide. If it’s going to be a Bollywood film, then Siddhant Chaturvedi is a good option; I’d love to see him in the movie.”
Making Biopics A Common Thing in Bollywood
There have been several biopics in Bollywood based on the lives of sports-persons, which were hugely successful. Some of these are Bhaag Milka Bhaag based on athlete Milka Singh, the movie Mary Kom based on female world champion boxer Mary Kom.
Apart from these ace shuttler, Saina Nehwal biopic is being made, and another top shuttler and Olympics silver medalist P.V.Sindhu biopic are on the cards.
Especially coming to cricket, the movie M.S.Dhoni The Untold Story is based on M.S.Dhoni, and the film 83 which is going to release soon is based on 1983 world cup victory by India where Ranveer Singh plays Kapil Dev’s role, who was the captain of the Indian team at that time.
Meanwhile, Yuvraj recently played in the Road Safety world series along-side legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara.
