Triumphs for Kohli
Virat Kohli, the Indian cricket team captain, said that when a player is playing for his national team, series or tournaments become achievements. Kohli has set many landmarks in his outstanding career so far but he said that his all-time favorite career moment will always be the day when he was selected for the national team way back in 2008. He is currently the no.1 player in the world in both ODIs and Test matches.
Favorite career moment
At a launch event of Audi, the 31-year-old dasher said that for him the day that he got selected in the Indian team will always remain a very dear or special moment. He was at home watching the news with his mother and had no information from anywhere about his selection and suddenly his name flashed and he had no idea what to do, Kohli said in response to a query. He added that he went insane and there was no synchronization. Kohli was so excited at that time that he didn’t know whether to stand, sit, jump or run. He feels that is one moment that he would multiply eight times any day and replay it.
Prodigal talent Virat
A prodigal talent, Kohli was the captain of the under-19 World Cup-winning team that year and made it to the senior team within some months after this triumph. Virat stated that when something that one works hard for as a youngster, he started to play cricket and then represented his country that is a feeling you can’t replicate. The beginning stands out for him because that point gives you vision, clarity, and motivation and also because it keeps him grounded and reminds him always about his roots, he added.
Scores and runs
In his continuing career, Kohli has scored runs more than 11,000 in One-Day Internationals and has scored more than 7000 runs in Tests. He averages more than 50 in all three formats. He is widely considered as one of the best players to have ever picked up the bat. He has a combined 70 tons in Test and ODIs.
