Virat Kohli And Sachin Tendulkar Post Videos Wearing Masks Prepared By Them:

By raising awareness among the general public and donating to relief funds, Indian cricketers are doing their bit to help the nation fight against coronavirus pandemic. Several Indian cricket stars have recently been featured in a BCCI video where they can be seen raising awareness of the value of masks during current testing times.

The coronavirus pandemic has taken the entire world to a standstill, taking the lives of over one lakh worldwide. The number of positive coronavirus cases in India is rising with every passing day despite the country following a complete lockdown till May 03. To explain the importance of masks in controlling coronavirus spread, several Indian cricketers, including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Smriti Mandhana, featured in the video.

One can see the cricketers discussing the significance of wearing masks in the video. They even wore their own self-designed masks, and encourage people at home to make one for themselves. While the mask of Kohli had written the letter ‘V’ on it, the mask of Dravid had a wall made on it, Sourav Ganguly, president of BCCI, can be seen wearing a mask with ‘Dada’ written on it.

“It’s very easy to be the part of mask force, you just have to make a mask for yourself at home, just like I have made myself one,” Rohit said in the video.

Earlier in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, the likes of Kohli, Rohit, Suresh Raina and Sachin had contributed to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund. While Rs 50 and 51 lakh were donated by Sachin and Raina respectively, Kohli and wife Anushka Sharma donated an undisclosed sum. At the other hand, Ganguly pledged during the lockdown to feed at least 10,000 people daily in Kolkata.

In their respective states both Sachin and Harbhajan donated ration and other necessary daily items for the poor and needy.
