Yashasvi Jaiswal In U-19 World Cup
The young player of the U-19 Indian team, Yashasvi Jaiswal has quickly won popular acclaim in the ICC U-19 World Cup.
His unbeaten hundred in India’s 10-wicket win against Pakistan in the semifinal took his current score to 312 in the tournament, making him the top scorer.
Jaiswal was unbeaten and scored 105 runs in 113 balls which included 8 fours and 4 sixes. It was a 176-run opening partnership with Divyaansh Saxena scoring 59 runs in the semifinal.
It was a game that gathered praise from all. With three half-centuries, one century and an average of 156, Yashasvi is heading towards success.
Jaiswal’s Journey
Jaiswal’s journey involves many emotional highs and lows. It includes both good times and also really difficult times. He had to sell panipuris on the streets of Mumbai in his initial days to earn money for a living after his father moved to the city.
In Vijay Hazare Trophy clash, Jaiswal scored 203 runs in 154 balls for the Mumbai team against Jharkhand. Since then, the rise has been quick for him and his inclusion in the U-19 World Cup squad hardly came as a surprise.
Shoib Akhtar Praises Jaiswal
Pakistan former player Shoib Akhtar said that Jaiswal is destined for big things. In his Youtube channel, he said, “Jaiswal is going to go places. The young player has the passion, power, and interest for the game. This is a guarantee that he will represent the senior team.”
Akhtar also added that Pakistan players should learn from Jaiswal’s history. He is following excellence and money is following him now.
Celebrating The Win
Remembering the chest-pumping celebrations and high-fives, when Yashasvi hugged Divyansh Saxena after winning against Pakistan. One of the most important characteristics of a sportsperson is having confidence in own abilities.
Regardless of what the conditions are, a person who believes that they belong to the biggest of stages and one in a million, are the ones who achieve what Yashaswi has.
