#10 Virender Sehwag – 52
The Nawab of Najafgarh is the only batsman on this list to score in excess of 100 strike rate. Virender Sehwag smashed 15 centuries and 37 fifties in the format. He is tenth on this list with 52 scores of 50+ in ODIs.
#9 Shikhar Dhawan – 56
He is one of the modern-day batting greats in ODIs. Shikhar Dhawan was India’s main man in ICC ODI tournaments. He scored 17 centuries and 39 fifties in 167 games. Dhawan posted 56 scores in excess of 50 in the format.
#8 india – 65
He didn’t get his due as an ODI legend owing to the way his career ended. Mohammad Azharuddin remains one of India’s finest in ODIs. The stylish player scored 7 centuries and 58 half centuries totaling 65 scores in excess of 50 in ODIs.
#7 Yuvraj Singh – 66
He is one of the finest players in the limited-overs format. Yuvraj Singh won the player of the tournament award in the 2011 World Cup. He scored 14 centuries and 52 fifties in the format. Singh’s 66 50+ scores is seventh on this list.
#6 Rohit Sharma – 78
His career changed when he became a full-time opener in ODIs. Rohit Sharma holds multiple records as an ODI opener. He averages 48.91 striking at 89.89. Sharma is third on the list of batsmen who have scored the most ODI centuries (30). He has 40 fifties to his name. Sharma has a total of 78 scores in excess of 50 in ODIs.
#5 MS Dhoni – 82
He is arguably the greatest finisher of all time in ODIs. MS Dhoni fashioned India’s brilliant win in the 2011 World Cup final. He was famous for staying not out in most of the games when he took the innings deep. Dhoni scored 9 centuries and 73 half-centuries totaling 82 scores of 50+ in ODIs.
#4 Sourav Ganguly – 93
He formed a formidable partnership with Sachin Tendulkar at the top. Sourav Ganguly scored 22 centuries and 71 half-centuries in ODIs. Ganguly still holds the Indian scored for the highest score in an ODI World Cup game (183). He has 93 scores in excess of 50 in ODIs.
#3 Rahul Dravid – 94
Nudging Ganguly from the top three is Rahul Dravid. He was called Mr. Dependable. Rahul Dravid scored the most runs in the 1999 ODI World Cup. Dravid has 12 centuries and 82 half-centuries to his name. His tally of 94 50+ scores in ODIs is the third-highest among Indian batters.
#2 Virat Kohli – 110
There are only two batters who have scored 50+ scores in ODIs more than 100 times. Virat Kohli is undoubtedly one of the legends of the format. Kohli strikes at 93.77 averaging 57.69 in the format. He has scored 46 centuries and 64 half-centuries. Kohli’s 110 scores of fifty-plus numbers is outstanding.
#1 Sachin Tendulkar – 145
There are very few records that Sachin Tendulkar doesn’t hold in ODIs. He has played 463 ODIs scoring 18,426 runs at an average of 44.83. Tendulkar scored 49 centuries and 96 half-centuries in the format. He is the numero uno Indian batsman with 145 scores in excess of 50 in the format.
