Tom Banton replies to the suggestion made by a former cricketer who played all forms of the game Michael Vaughan(now, English cricket commentator) to not be a part of the upcoming IPL (Indian Premier League) 2020.
Michael Vaughan advised Tom Banton to not take part in the IPL 2020 matches. Tom Banton was auctioned for the coming IPL (by Kolkata Knight Riders) as a player, to play for IPL matches which are about to place during the Indian Summers.
Banton’s compatriot and ex-English International cricketer Vaughan suggested that Banton must play for Somerset for a few weeks at the start to claim the number 6 position in England’s cricket team.
Vaughan wrote in a column for Telegraph Sport that if he is the person in charge he will be on the phone with Tom Banton to tell him to drop the IPL deal and play for the first few weeks of the County season for Somerset because there is place vacant at number 6 in the Test side.

Banton earned a fair purchase value from KKR in the IPL auction because of his performance in the BBL (Big Bash League) which took place in Australia. As BBL took place just before IPL auction Banton gained a huge prominence during the IPL auction.
