Following their excellent partnership during the ICC Under-19 World Cup in 2018, Prithvi Shaw and Rahul Dravid will join once more. Despite the fact that Shaw will not be the captain this time, he will get the privilege to be coached by Dravid, who was India’s coach when they won the World Cup in New Zealand. Shaw has been named to the team’s white-ball team, which will begin on July 13 against Sri Lanka.
Prithvi Shaw About Rahul Dravid
As India’s first-choice players are on a Test tour of England, players like Shaw, Devdutt Padikkal, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Manish Pandey have a chance to impress the selectors before the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. The former India batter also discussed how he will provide many opportunities for the players to demonstrate their potential and abilities, since the selectors may only choose 1 or 2 players from the team.
Shaw is delighted to be reuniting with Dravid and believes he is a great pleasure to work with. “The way he speaks, the way he shares his coaching experience, is just amazing. He knows everything about cricket. The way he speaks on conditions and how to use them is just out of this world,” Shaw told in an Interview.

Dravid is regarded for being a tough taskmaster and a strict disciplinarian, in addition to helping young players improve their skills. The 21-year-old believes he would gain a lot from Dravid during the practice sessions this time as well.
“As Rahul sir is there, one will expect discipline in the dressing room. I’m looking ahead to the practice sessions with Rahul sir because I love to speak to him for hours. This tour, I just have to grab the opportunity,” the 21-year-old added.
In six limited-overs matches against a weekend Sri Lankan side, the right-hand batsman will try to score runs. Shaw was in outstanding form for DC in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and will try to maintain that form when the series begins on July 13.
