Full Schedule Of IPL Is Out
Fans were excited about the 20-over cricket league and they were eagerly waiting for the schedule of the 13th season of IPL. And finally, the full schedule of the group stage of the Indian Premier League is out.
All the eight teams will play 7 home matches on their own home grounds. Except for Rajasthan Royals, they have registered Guwahati as their most-likely second home venue. The other seven teams are constant with their old venues for home games.
The highly awaited tournament is going to start from the 29th of March and the first match will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. The finale of this 20-over game is scheduled for May 24.
13th Season Of IPL Extend To 50 Days
This time the double-headers of Saturday have been removed from IPL. Thus another additional week is added to the schedule of the 2020 league. It means that the 13th season of IPL will extend up to 50 days but last year it was of 44 days.
This year only three matches will be played on the weekends with double-headers now only limited to Sundays. The last match of the league phase is scheduled for the 17th of May and it will be played between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M Chinnaswamy stadium.
BCCI Will Have An All-Stars Game
The IPL council had decided against changing timings from 8 pm to 7.30 pm of the night matches, despite some pressure from few shareholders. The afternoon matches will start as usual at 4 pm IST.
The BCCI will have an All-Stars Game between the top-class international players ahead of IPL for a charitable cause. Most probably the All-Stars match will be played before three days of the tournament.
