Sourav Ganguly, President of the BCCI (Board of Control for cricket in India) was amazed after he saw pink sweets in Kolkata ahead of the first pink-ball Test in India. He posted a picture of pink sweets in his Twitter handle and wrote “Sweets go pink in Kolkata,” and also shared a picture of pink balls and captioned it as “pink Sandesh” (a dessert originating from Bengal).
On Friday, Ganguly posted the picture of pink sweets to celebrate the first-ever pink ball Test in India against Bangladesh which is scheduled to take place at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Virat Kohli is leading Team India.
Recently, Sourav Ganguly tweeted, “The city turns pink on the Pink Test,” and shared few pictures of Kolkata buildings decorated with pink lights on social media. He also posted a video of his home town which looks to be all set for the pink-ball match.
He wrote ” Well BCCI and Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB)… look forward to 5 days @JayShah.”
