Solo Nqweni, South Africa all-rounder has found positive for Coronavirus. After Pakistan’s Zafar Sarfraz and Scotland’s Majid Haq, he’s the third cricketer to be diagnosed with the virus. However, over the past 12 months or so, Nqweni has suffered a great deal from his other health issues. He announced the news of COVID-19 contracting through his official Twitter handle.
Solo Nqweni has been operating against Guillan-Barré Syndrome for four weeks since last July. The doctors used the machine to do their lungs and gradually changed their health and could speak to them by October. He soon cleared to return to South Africa, but his family could not bear the travel expense.
The GoFundMe campaign, which raised £3,125, was the only cause of Solo’s return to their homes until a single donor contributed £76,875. The cricketer admitted to a hospital for further care in January and Johannesburg. Also, in February, the national team players from South Africa contributed R50,000 for his medical expenses.

Solo Nqweni has now infected with the Coronavirus after going through all these difficult times. He also revealed in his tweet that he was battling against the GBS (mentioned above) and only about halfway through its recovery. Throughout that time, the 26-year-old also suffered from TB and his liver and kidney got failed at that time. He was always upset by all the activities around him.
However, a website has confirmed that Solo’s Rob Humphries agent is optimistic the cricketer can recover completely from the virus.

In 2012, Solo Nqweni played for South Africa U19 and since then he joined the Warriors franchise in the eastern province. He played a match against Northerns in April 2019 and also scored 95 runs.
