Simon Katich has decided to step down as the Head Coach of RCB, we would like to thank Katich for his work during his time at Royal Challengers and wish him success in the future. In the interim, Mike Hesson will step in and discharge the duties of the Head coach until the end of the current season, in addition to his existing role of Director of Cricket,” he said according to RCB’s official website.
Furthermore, the RCB team, which includes Indian players, will arrive in Bengaluru on Saturday and will be quarantined for 7 days. All of them will also be subjected to three COVID tests, and if the results are negative, they will depart for the UAE on August 29, with the foreign players arriving at the same time.
The entire squad will be quarantined for the next 6 days before returning to training 2 weeks just before IPL resumes. The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will start their season on September 20 against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), with captain Virat Kohli as well as other IPL-bound stars arriving soon before the contest.
