Indian all-rounder Shivam Dube earned his maiden Twenty20 International (T20I) call-up for the Bangladesh series in New Delhi, which is set to  be played on Sunday. With his brilliant performances in domestic cricket, Dube has earned a place in the T20I squad.

A 20-seconds of the practice session clipping of Shivam Dube left fans delighted. During the practice session, Shivam Dube was seen going all-out where he displayed his high backlift while playing some shots. His backlift was close to that of Yuvraj Singh, a former India all-rounder, and some fans felt “Dube may be the next Yuvi.”

As he can bowl spin as well, all-rounder Dube can do something that Yuvraj Singh used to do part-time.

Here are the Twitter Reactions:

With fans already impressed with the southpaw’s show in the nets, it remains to be seen if he can earn his maiden T20I cap later in the day when India host Bangladesh.

The all-rounder from Mumbai had hit five consecutive sixes in a 2018 Ranji Trophy game that helped him earn a spot in the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Later on, he was bought for Rs. 5 crores by the Bengaluru franchise. However, in his 2019 debut IPL season, he failed to make a mark.

Dube has an average of 48.19 in cricket of first class. He added two centuries and seven half centuries to his credit and scored 1,012 runs. He also has an excellent strike rate and can be useful in the game’s shortest format.
