Sarfaraz Ahmed Has Been Penalized 35 Percent Of His Match Fee:
During the Quaid-e – Azam Trophy match, former Pakistani skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed was fined 35% of his match fee for using “inappropriate language.” During his side’s match on Saturday, the 33-year-old stumper, who leads the Sindh First XI, admitted to a level 1 offence related to the use of offensive language.
The Pakistan Cricket Board said in a press release, “Sarfaraz has repeatedly made inappropriate remarks against an umpiring decision during the day’s play.” “Faisal Afridi and Saqib Khan were identified by on-field umpires for breaching Article 2.21 of the PCB Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Staff,” the release said.
Central Punjab batsman Usman Salahuddin was also fined 20 percent of his match fee for a level 1 crime related to conduct contrary to the spirit of the game during his side’s match against Balochistan in a separate incident.
The incident took place on Saturday as well. During a leg before appeal, Usman continuously exposed his bat, which was viewed as an effort to confuse the umpires.
Usman also pleaded guilty to the penalty proposed by the match referee and acknowledged it.
