Sanju Samson has been excluded from India’s T20I squad in the upcoming home series against West Indies that will start on December 6.
Samson took to Twitter on Friday and posted a ‘smiley face’ instead of any text reacting to his exclusion. The 25-year-old did not get to play a single game in the recently-concluded three-match T20I series against Bangladesh.
With Virat Kohli coming back to the side, Samson has been not included in the T20I team. Manish Pandey gets a longer run in the T20I side. The selectors gave an opportunity to Rishabh Pant instead of Samson.
The wicketkeeper-batsman scored 112 runs from four games he played for Kerala in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019. The Rajasthan Royals star batsman played his last T20I in 2015 against Zimbabwe batting at No.7 and scoring 19 runs from 24 deliveries.
Samson’s fans targeted selectors for not giving him an opportunity in the T20I squad.
