Sachin Tendulkar, a cricket legend, entered WHO’s # SafeHandsChallenge to highlight the value of washing hands in the coronavirus pandemic. Tendulkar is seen washing his hands thoroughly in a video posted by the Master Blaster and also talking about the importance of washing hands with soap.
Apart from this, he also posted a video of one minute on his official twitter handle, with a message pertaining to the measures which an individual should comply with to avoid infection from coronavirus. The video has received more than 21 thousand views, and more than four thousand likes.

Star Indian athlete Hima Das also took up the # SafeHands challenge in an effort to spread the importance of hygiene among the coronavirus pandemic and urged the likes of Tendulkar, MC Mary Kom, Sania Mirza and Rani Rampal to take it forward.
Ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu had also previously taken up the challenge and posted a video on Twitter where she was seen washing her hands with soap for nearly 30 seconds.
The World Health Organization, which has declared coronavirus epidemic a pandemic, has repeatedly called for people to frequently wash their hands with soap to prevent infection. In total, 7,000 people in the world have lost their lives. So far 126 confirmed cases have been recorded in India, and three people have lost their lives because of coronavirus.
Due to this, all the cricketing schedule has met with an unprecedented halt. This has disappointed the fans from across the globe. The 13th edition of IPL 2020 which was supposed to start from March 29, will remain suspended till 15th March.
In the meantime, Board Cricket Control Of India Chief Sourav Ganguly has hinted that the complete series might be truncated in the wake of infections due to Coronavirus which might be triggered due to mass gatherings.
