Humanitarian Side Of Sachin Tendulkar:
Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar provided financial assistance to 4000 disadvantaged people, including children from Mumbai’s Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), in the midst of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Tendulkar has made the donation of an unspecified amount to Hi5 Youth Foundation, a non-profit organization based out of Mumbai. “Thanks Sachin Tendulkar for proving once again that sports encourages compassion! Your generous donation towards our COVID-19 fund enables us to financially aid 4000 underprivileged people, including children from BMC schools. Thank you to our budding sportsmen, Little Master! “The company tweeted while sharing Tendulkar’s gratitude.
The 47-year-old also replied to the organization, saying: “Best wishes to team up with Hi5 for your efforts to help everyday wage earners’ families.”
In April, through an NGO named Apnalaya, the former Indian batsman had pledged to help around 5,000 people a month in Shivaji Nagar and Govandi Mumbai area.
Before that, in his bid to join the war against COVID-19, he had donated Rs 25 lakh to the Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES Fund) of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (Maharashtra).
The Master Blaster urged people to follow the government’s guidelines and stay indoors during the ongoing nationwide lockdown in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic that has claimed more than 1900 lives in the country so far.
Not only this, Sachin Tendulkar has also been seen actively promoting the cause of front line warriors on his official social media handles. The forced lock down due to coronavirus pandemic has sent all the players on a break. On one hand where some players decided to spend quality time with their family on the other hand, some of them were seen spending time in rejuvenating themselves for their upcoming tournaments. The best part about the complete thing is, whatever the players have been doing during the break, they have been sharing on their social media handles, which has certainly kept the cricket fans across the globe about what their cricket stars are doing during the break.
