“Hyder Ali Is As Talented As Virat Kohli And Babar Azam”
Indian batsman Rohit Sharma has found a fan in a Pakistani young talented cricketer. Pakistan’s upcoming talent Hyder Ali who often compared with the top Indian batsman Rohit Sharma and Pakistan player Babar Azam said that Indian vice-captain in limited-overs cricket is his idol and wanted to bat like him in future.
The 19-year-old Haider Ali, in a video with Cricket Pakistan, said, “My idol is Rohit Sharma. The best thing about him is his strike rate, and I want that in my game.”
Right-handed Hyder Ali made 239 runs in 9 innings in the recently held Pakistan Super League (PSL) for Peshawar Zalmi before the tournament postponed because of Corona fears.
Ali’s aggressive style and stroke play have impressed cricket fans, and former Pakistani captain has praised him for being as talented as Indian captain Virat Kohli and Babar Azam.
Raja said about the promising youngster, “Hyder has immense talent and has made a name for himself in his first season of PSL.”
He added, “However, he needs to bring consistency in his performance, and his ideal position is number three in the batting order. He has big quality shots in his armor and doesn’t need to improvise much as his power-hitting base is quite strong.”
He further said,” “Haider needs to follow the approach of Babar Azam and Virat Kohli. These two don’t improvise much as they have so much talent and rely mainly on routine shots. Haider has a similar talent as Babar and Kohli, but just needs to work on his game awareness and play longer innings.”
Haider played seven first-class matches scoring 645 runs with an impressive average of 49.61.
“Rohit Sharma is The Most Intelligent Modern-day Cricketer”
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma, who is Ali’s favorite player, has received praise from veteran cricketer Wasim Jaffer who retired recently. Jaffer said that the Indian opener has the best brains among modern-day cricketers.
