Former Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has praised Rohit Sharma for his ability to manage teams effectively. Rohit’s prospects in cricket improved in 2013 when he took over as captain of the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL after Ricky Ponting. The same year, he began to open the batting for Team India at an elite rate. Here is why Sachin Tendulkar Praised Rohit Sharma.

Eight years later, the Nagpur-born Rohit is the IPL’s best successful captain, winning 5 titles, despite MI failing to make the playoffs the previous time. Tendulkar believes that, aside from his leadership potential, Rohit’s desire to keep his composure in high-pressure circumstances distinguishes him from the competition.
“Whatever my interaction with Rohit has been, he has a very smart cricketing brain. He doesn’t panic. He is able to absorb pressure is what I saw. That is important when you are leading the side,” Tendulkar.
I have noticed in Rohit during the time we spent at MI: Tendulkar
In his time with the Mumbai-based franchise, Tendulkar noted Rohit has only ever let his team down and has also been able to make appropriate judgments at the proper time. It’s worth noting that one of MI’s 4 players, Sharma, has been retained before the IPL 2022 big auction.
“There are multiple things that a captain has to take care of. If you are in a situation when the team is looking up to you, then it is important that the captain keeps his cool and does the job and that is what I have noticed in Rohit during the time we spent at Mumbai Indians,” he added.
While Virat Kohli surrendered captaincy after the T20 World Cup 2021, Rohit stepped over as the full-time skipper of Team India’s T20I squad last month. Sharma led the Men in Blue to a 3-0 series victory over the Black Caps in his very initial task.
Rohit has previously served as deputy of India’s limited-overs squads and led them when Kohli was unavailable.
