A big breath of relief for the Pakistan squad, Mohmmad Rizwan as well as Shoaib Malik have passed the fitness test and will also be fit for the semi-final match versus Australia (11th November). Due to a mild case of the illness, the pair have been unable to participate in the practice game. Their presence in the knock-out game was likewise clouded by uncertainty.
Rizwan & Shoaib Confirms Fit
Despite the fact that Malik and Rizwan had passed their COVID tests, the medical staff, Dr. Najeeb Soomro, instructed them to relax. Meanwhile, they were confirmed fully fit a day later, which would have pleased Pakistan’s management. Admittedly, both of these performers have been outstanding in the T20 World Cup 2021. Whereas Rizwan is Pakistan’s 2nd highest run-scorer with 214 runs, Malik scored the contest’s joint-fastest 50, alongside India’s KL Rahul, in only 18 balls versus Scotland.
As a result, their unavailability may have harmed Pakistan’s powerful team. Nonetheless, they were given permission to play the game on the evening of the game. However, Cricket Pakistan finalized the primary report. It was proposed that the medical team do a couple of additional tests on matchday before declaring the duo back to full fitness.
Mohammad Rizwan and Shoaib Malik were tested negative for COVID-19: Reports
However, to avoid any mistakes, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has been performing monthly COVID-19 testing throughout the competition. Pakistan’s squad was also tested lately, and every player, including Rizwan and Malik, came back negative.
“Both players (Mohammad Rizwan and Shoaib Malik) were tested for COVID-19 and both tested negative. As with the rest of their squad, they have cleared regular COVID-19 testing through the tournament, including one a couple of days ago. That is part of the ICC’s policy to encourage teams to test as often as possible,” said the reports.
Furthermore, Pakistan is dominating the present T20 World Cup 2021. The Babar Azam-led squad is the only one to win all 5 Super 12 matches, thriving in all 3 aspects. The Australians, on the other hand, won 4 of their 5 games. As a consequence, an exciting clash is on the horizon, and both sides must leave no question unanswered in order to achieve a beneficial outcome.
