IPL 2021 has started on a brilliant note. There have already been quite a few games that have gone down the wire. All the teams have played at least one game each. Batsmen and bowlers have left their stamp on the IPL. Mumbai and Chennai have hosted all the 6 completed games till now. Mumbai has witnessed high-scoring matches while Chennai has produced low-scoring thrillers.
Challenge for teams:
IPL 2021 has done away with the concept of home and away. All teams are required to play in neutral venues. This has negated the curated strength of the squad to a certain extent. Despite all odds, few players have put in striking performances. Few such players must have gone unsold in the fantasy auctions earlier. It is time you make a note of such key players and include them in your StumpsandBails fantasy team.
IPL 2021: RR vs DC preview
Rajasthan Royals agonisingly fell short of the target against Punjab Kings. Their captain Sanju Samson led the chase with aplomb and flair. RR lost out on the game by just 4 runs. Samson’s 119 went in vain as RR ended at 217 in response to PK’s 221. RR’s bowling let them down and they ended up conceding far too many runs. They will be looking to plug that gap and put on a better show. RR have suffered another setback. Ben Stokes has been ruled out of the tournament. RR have to come up with plans to arrest the slide both on and off the field.
Delhi Capitals on the other hand have started the tournament with a bang. They coasted to a comfortable win against Chennai Super Kings. DC sent out a statement to all the teams that they are serious title contenders. Their bowling will be bolstered with the return of Kagiso Rabada. Chris Woakes and Tom Curran stepped in beautifully in his absence. DC will hope they continue the good show. Anrich Nortje has tested Corona positive. He will be unavailable for selection. DC despite his loss look extremely strong.
IPL 2021: Players to have in your StumpsandBails Fantasy Team
Riyan Parag
Riyan Parag made his IPL debut in 2019. He impressed everyone with his big-hitting prowess. Parag has played match-winning innings against MI and SRH in 2019 and 2020. He played a blinder in the first game against PK. His 11 ball 25 kept RR in the run-chase. He will be of immense value to any fantasy team. Parag is a wicket-taking spin option as well.
Avesh Khan
Avesh Khan bowled his heart out against CSK in the first game. His spell was not just economical but wicket-taking too. He ran in hard and regularly dented CSK’s batting progress. Avesh Khan can be a handy pick in your fantasy team. He might just prove to be the match-winner your team so desperately needs.
