Prime Minister Modi Hails Efforts Of Yuvraj Singh And Mohammed Kaif:
On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the efforts of former Indian cricketers Mohammad Kaif and Yuvraj Singh after urging people to follow “Janata curfew” to combat the outbreak of coronaviruses. “Here are 2 excellent cricketers whose partnership we will remember forever. Now, as they have said, it is time for another partnership. This time, all of India will be partners in the fight against Coronavirus,” PM Modi tweeted.
PM Modi on Thursday, in view of a novel coronavirus outbreak, had urged people to observe “Janata curfew” on 22 March.

After this Yuvraj and Kaif appealed to the people to come together to combat the pandemic coronavirus by maintaining personal hygiene.
The partnership PM Modi described in his tweet was from the Natwest Final (2002) in which India was given a target of 326 to win the game. At 146/5 India suffered as both Yuvraj and Kaif got together at the crease.
Coronavirus infection which has shaken the cricketing fraternity has become a growing area of concern after some players after returning from their respective tournaments have shown the symptoms of Coronavirus infection. To ensure the safety of the people and the players, the governments of countries have advised their cricket players to mandatorily follow the schedule of 14 days isolation by themselves, after they have returned from their respective tournaments. Not only this, the much-awaited IPL 2020 which was scheduled to start from 29th March also remains suspended due to avoid mass gatherings and keep the infection of coronavirus at bay.
