PCB announces a new pay structure:
On Tuesday (08-09-2020), the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) declares a new pay structure for the domestic players of Pakistan. Because of the new pay structure, leading performers can earn Rs 3.2 million by the season, an increment of 83% more than the previous year.
The PCB stated that the 3.2 million, which is nearly Rs 14 lakh INR in a season will involve a monthly payment of Rs. 150,000.
Before the beginning of the current season, which begins on 30th September 2020, the Pakistan Cricket Board declared a fresh pay strategy and this strategy will see even the least fee for the domestic players, just 7% more than the previous year.
PCB Statement:
On Tuesday, in a released statement, PCB said “Once the low paid leading domestic player now get the chance to earn as high as 3,2 million PKR (Pakistani Rupees), which is 83% more than last year, and as low as 1.8 million PKR, still a 7% increment from what the crickets got in the highest category in 2019-20 season.”
Furthermore, “For 1 year, the player includes an A+ category will get PKR 150,00 as monthly income and a match fee of PKR 40,000 for each Pakistan Cup and National T20 Cup, and for Quaid-e-Azam trophy, PKR 60,000. The players showing fantastic professionalism in the whole season will earn PKR 3.2 million.”
PCB added that the monthly fee of category D players has been retained at Rs 40,000 but they will get the equal match fee as the player, who is in the highest category list and any player in category D playing in all the 30 First XI League matches will get PKR 1.8 million.
If the players reach the finals of the tournament, they will get an extra match fee along with a share in the prize money.
