Pakistan is likely to play the Day-Night Test match with Bangladesh. As per sources, the Pakistan cricket board has invited Bangladesh to play the Day-Night Test match during the latter’s tour to the neighboring country in January next year for the two-match series, which will be a part of the WTC (ICC world test championship). The chief executive officer of PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) said that they have sent a proposal of the Day-Night Test match to Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) by suggesting one of the two Tests of the two-match Test series should be played as a pink-ball affair in Karachi.
The officials of BCB will confirm the tour in a week. They need to get clearance from their government. The majority of the teams are refusing to play in Pakistan ever since the terrorist attack on a Sri Lankan bus in 2009. Since then, Pakistan has been playing their home matches at neutral venues.
Recently, India and Bangladesh have made their debut in a historic Day-Night Test match by playing against each other. India hosted the match at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The newly elected president of BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) Sourav Ganguly has taken the decision to hold the pink-ball Test match. He made a proposal to the BCB, and they agreed to it. India has won against Bangladesh in that historic Test match.
