Former Australia cricketer and Netherlands coach, Ryan Campbell has been hospitalized after going into cardiac arrest in the UK during play with his kids at a playground. It should be remembered that the 50-year-old suffered the trauma on April 16th while going on vacation with his family. Since 2017, Campbell has served as the Netherlands team’s coach. He was heading to Europe following the Netherlands’ tour of New Zealand, and during his vacation, he had joined his family in Perth and close friends, notably Parker.

He has represented both Australia and Hong Kong at the top standard. Despite he represented Australia in two One-Day Internationals in 2002 owing to the unavailability of regular wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist, he represented Hong Kong in the T20 World Cup 2016, at the age of 44.
“WA Cricket is in shock to hear of Ryan’s medical emergency after suffering a major heart attack over the long weekend,” said WA Cricket CEO Christina Matthews.
“On behalf of all WA Cricket staff, players, and the wider cricket community, I would like to pass on our heartfelt thoughts to Ryan, his wife Leontina, and their family at this time. We know he is in the best care, and hope he pulls through and is able to make a full and speedy recovery.”
“As of 45 minutes ago, he was still unresponsive, although under the care of his doctors he has made some attempts successfully to breathe on his own,” an emotional Parker. “This news is a real shock to his family and friends back home in Australia, who learned about it on Easter Sunday.”
In terms of Campbell’s illustrious first-class career, he played 98 matches for Western Australia between 1994 and 2006. He scored 6009 runs for an avg of 36.31. He has also appeared in 105 List A and 5 T20 matches, scoring 2286 and 92 runs with a solitary century in List A cricket.
