Mohammad Hafeez, the cricketer of Pakistan, gave a suggestion to the Junior selection committee, asking them to not play young pacer Naseem Shah for the upcoming ICC Under-19 World Cup to be held in South Africa.
The “humble suggestion” of Mohammad Hafeez divided Pakistan Fans. While some agreed the all-rounder’s statement, it is believed by others that Hafeez should focus on his retirement before interrupting the young fast bowler Naseem’s career.
“Humble suggestion 2 Junior selection committee not 2 send Naseem shah to play under 19 world cup. He already played international cricket and should work hard Technically and Physically to get better at that level. It would be fruitful to use this opportunity to send any other fast bowler (sic),” Mohammad Hafeez tweeted on Monday.
Naseem Shah, the sixteen-year-old fast bowler, who made his debut last month in a Test match against Australia, was added in a 15-member team of for the ICC showpiece event of next year.
