Legendary Indian Batsmen Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar Turns 47:
Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar who is popularly known as ‘God of cricket’, ‘Master Blaster’, and ‘Little Master’ turned 47 today.
In his 24 years of his cricketing career, he had achieved fame, which was considered as a benchmark for every batsman from different cricket teams across the globe. Throughout his career, he had achieved such a craze among his fans, that whenever Sachin got out in a match, fans used to turn off their Television sets and used to discontinue watching the match.
Sachin made his debut in the cricket world at the age of 16 years against Pakistan. Right from his first debut, the ‘Little Master’ was clear about his objective of making very big in the international cricket society. His aggressive approach on-field during every match which he played, earned him comparisons with great Australian legend Sir Don Bradman. In other words, it was no less than fete for fans of Sachin Tendulkar, watching him playing classy shots. The upcoming players used to watch his matches to learn shots and used to practice the same.
Retirement:
It was a complete heartbreak for all Sachin fans across the globe, when he announced his retirement from ODI’s in 2012, from T20 in October 2013, and finally from all forms of cricket on 13th November 2013. Sachin Tendulkar retired from all forms of cricket after he played his 200 test match against West Indies at his home ground Mumbai at Wankhede Stadium.

Tendulkar finished his career as the top international cricket run-getter, with 34,357 runs across formats— 15,921 in 200 Tests, 18426 in 463 ODIs and 10 in 1 T20 international.
Not only this, but Sachin Tendulkar was also the first player in international cricket format, who had smashed a double ton (200 of 147 balls) against South Africa in Gwalior on 24th February 2010.
On March 16, 2012, Sachin Tendulkar became the first and only batsman in the cricket history to score 100 international centuries, a record likely to remain forever. Tendulkar ended a year-long wait and 34 innings as he managed to score 114 of 147 balls in the Asia Cup at Shere Bangla Stadium in Mirpur against Bangladesh.
Sachin Tendulkar has a lot of records to his name, which is yet to be surpassed by any cricketer in international cricket. He continues to inspire many young and upcoming players from the cricket world, with the kind of legacy he has left behind him. He is not a role model not only to cricket fans but also to many other youngsters.
