Kuldeep Yadav, India’s left-arm chinaman bowler, became the fastest Indian spinner to reach the milestone of 100 wickets in ODI cricket. He achieved this feat in the second ODI of India vs Australia in Rajkot on Friday.
Yadav is now in the list of the fastest Indian bowlers and he stands third. He took 100 ODI wickets chasing his teammates. While Mohammed Shami got to this milestone in 56 matches, Jasprit Bumrah in 57 matches, he has done it now in 58 matches.
Kuldeep Takes 100 Wickets
Kuldeep reached this milestone of 100 wickets when he dismissed Alex Carey for 18 in the 38th over of the second innings.
As the first Indian cricketer, who has claimed two hat-tricks, Kuldeepregistered his name in international cricket in 2019. He had pulled off the feat against West Indies during the 2nd ODI for the second time.
By his own admission, after what was a ‘tough’ year, things were appearing different for this 25-year old player.
“For me, 2019 was a tough time and this year I have come to so many things. In these things, the biggest positive thing was getting to know that different things were planned by me in a better way.”
“When I thought more and allowed myself more time, I might have done better. I’ll try to plan each game better by 2020 and give myself more time, so I’ll get more time to reflect on my game.”
