In order to focus on bringing the best of experience to KKR fans this year, Kolkata Knight Riders have launched a new team campaign in the lead-up to Dream11 IPL 2020. A campaign called Tu Fan Nahi Toofan Hai! A tribute from all the KKR players to fans across the globe, the campaign calls on fans to support the KKR team as a guiding force.
“This year, our fans and the enthusiasm of Eden Gardens will be absent. We wanted to connect directly with the KKR fans, and we wanted to express what they meant to us. We understand that they can’t be here in person with us, but they’re going to be in our hearts, “said Captain Dinesh Karthik.
“This year, we’re going to win the title for our fans. They have given us so much love over the years, and even this year, when they’re not with us, we can feel their support and energy, “said spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who will be representing the franchisee for his 7th season in the league.
“I am so grateful that the players have contributed to the brainstorming phase of finalizing the plan. Our greatest asset for KKR is our fans. The players have always been inspired by the unwavering dedication of our fans who support the team in highs and lows,” said KKR CEO & MD, Venky Mysore.
The 360-degree campaign will see the KKR introduce a series of fan engagement initiatives during the season. In a year when the pandemic forced the tournament to move out of India, KKR is committed to connecting with its fans around the globe, particularly in the homeland of Kolkata.
In order to keep fans up-to-date on the team’s practices and plans, KKR released the KKR Fan Cam, which is a regular live video of the team’s training session on Instagram / Facebook. The team will continue to engage its fans via the KKR Fan Tank series, where selected fans will have the opportunity to meet players/coaches through a virtual call.
The KKR website www.kkr.in has been updated and is now a comprehensive portal that not only offers fans a full view of the KKR squad but will also include blogs, photographs, and videos that will give fans an immersive experience of the tournament.
An additional feature added on the website this year is a new gaming platform called KKR Super Over. The game offers fans the chance to pick their favorite Knights from the current squad and play the game against the best eleven Knights legends (all players who play KKR and have retired from the game).
Finally, the very famous Knight Club – KKR ‘s ongoing rewards program, which focuses on digital interaction and rewarding KKR fans in a special and exclusive way. This year, fans will be able to join the Knight Club and collect their exclusive membership number, and their accumulated points will be sent to them at the end of the IPL season. In 2021, they will be able to redeem these points after all the incentives have been rendered live by KKR.
Fans will be awarded points for any social interaction, i.e. joining the group, loving, sharing, posting, watching our videos, etc. — a form of interaction has dedicated points to be awarded to users. With the points they have received over time, fans/users may redeem benefits and experiences that are unique and not accessible to the general public.
The main goal of Tu Fan Nahi Toofan Hai! Campaign To bring fans closer to their favorite team and reward them for their brilliant love and support over the years. The IPL is scheduled to start in the UAE on September 19, 2020, and conclude on Nov 10, 2020, which will feature two-time Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) champions and seven other teams.
