Ishant Sharma Passed The Fitness Test
Ishant Sharma is the senior fast-bowler of team India and he has passed the fitness test at the National Cricket Academy. And now he will join the Indian squad for the two-test series in New Zealand which is going to start from 21st February. This news gave a great relief to skipper Virat Kohli and coach Ravi Shastri.
Ishant Thanked Ashish Kaushik
Ishant Sharma thanked Ashish Kaushik who is head of NCA for helping him during the rehabilitation period. Sharma said that his journey involves many emotional highs and lows after the injury on his ankle but with the help of Ashish Kaushik he managed to accomplish the target.
The fast-bowler had suffered an injury while playing Ranji Trophy for Delhi. He was seen in great discomfort and pain and had to leave the ground as he needed some medical observation. He got a grade 3 tear on his right ankle while playing against the Vidarbha team at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Even some sources confirmed that the pacer will join the team. They said that Ishant was successful in passing the fitness test and soon he will join the Indian squad for the Test series.
Need Rest For 6 Weeks
Sanjay Bhardwaj, the director of DDCA said that Ishant has been suggested to take complete rest for the next 6 weeks. Thus there is little possibility that he will play the Test series in the next month against New Zealand.
The first Test will be held from 21st to 25th February and the second Test is from 29th February to 4th March. Currently, India and New Zealand are playing warm-up matches in Hamilton.
