Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Players Battles Preview:
SRH vs RCB Key Players Battles, SRH who was second in the points table a week ago has had a mighty fall. They have dropped 3 games on the trot to move down to the sixth position in the standings. SRH will be up against the Royal Challengers from Bangalore who are currently placed fourth in the league table. The underrated stars of Sunrisers Hyderabad will be facing off against the mighty Challengers. It promises to be a game filled with exciting matchups.
We look at The SRH vs RCB Key Players Battles In This Match:
#1 Kane Williamson vs Josh Hazlewood
There is a lot of speculation around Kane Williamson’s strike rate this season. The Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper has been unable to get off the blocks quickly. He is striking at less than a 100 in the powerplay. It is the lowest strike rate for any opener across IPL history. This has transferred a lot of pressure on the rest of the top-order batters.
Williamson being the class act that he is will be keen to turn things around. He won’t be having it easy against Josh Hazlewood though. The Royal Challengers Bangalore seamer has been right on the money ever since he joined the franchise. It will be an intriguing contest between two class acts.
#2 Aiden Markram vs Wanindu Hasaranga
SRH’s middle-order batting bulwark, Aiden Markram has been brilliant this season. His game has improved tremendously against spin. Markram is no longer a sitting duck against spin. He takes the game to the opposition in the middle overs. Markram uses his feet to counter the spin threat. He will be facing up to Wanindu Hasaranga who is among the top-wicket takers this season. Hasaranga fancies batsmen who like to attack him. We have a matchup on our cards.
#3 Virat Kohli vs Marco Jansen
The last time around when these two sides met, it was Marco Jansen who got the better of Virat Kohli. Jansen changed the game in a single over. He picked up three wickets in a single over to dismantle RCB. Virat Kohli was one of the batsmen he dismissed in that magical over. He dismissed Virat Kohli for a golden duck. Kohli since then has been on the radar of prying eyes. His strike rate has been a topic of discussion. It will be interesting to watch how Kohli responds to Jansen’s challenge.
#4 Glenn Maxwell vs Umran Malik
He was RCB’s best batsman last season. Glenn Maxwell was RCB’s MVP along with Harshal Patel. He was absolutely stunning against the spinners especially. But this season, Maxwell hasn’t done anything of note. Royal Challengers Bangalore will so dearly want Maxwell to strike form. He will be looking to take on the Umran Malik challenge in the middle overs. Malik has been breathing fire this season. He was expensive in the game against Delhi but his pace was there for everyone to see. This contest will sure light up the game.
