As a result, the Mumbai Indians (MI) five-time champions and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) four-time champions, topped the 2 groups. The 2 additional sides, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and the Gujarat Titans (GT) are similarly split into 2 groups.
