The heartthrob of Indian cricket MS Dhoni is back into the field. MS Dhoni has joined the Chennai Super King’s camp for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. 39-year-old captain cool recently hanged his boots from all formats of international cricket. However, the legendary wicket-keeper still dons the captaincy armband for IPL franchise CSK as he is all set to lead the team in this season as well.
Will this be MS Dhoni’s last IPL season?
IPL 14 is set to begin on April 9 and the inaugural match will be played between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai. CSK will play their first game against Delhi Capitals on April 10 in Mumbai. Similar to the previous seasons, fans won’t be allowed in this year’s IPL as well. Adding to that, none of the teams will have home advantage this season as per the neutral venues decided by the BCCI.
Some of CSK’s authorities were upset about the fact that MS Dhoni will not play a single game in Chennai this year, which could be his last season in the IPL. “You are denying MS Dhoni to play his potential last IPL in Chennai. If there are to be no crowds, what stops CSK to play in Chennai and Mumbai Indians to play in Mumbai,” the official told Cricbuzz.
