Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard were going to death for Mumbai as they crossed 200 and completed 208/5 in their 20 overs. The final-over flourish of Krunal Pandya, 6, 4, 4, 6 off the last four balls, gives Mumbai the momentum that goes into the second innings. On 25 out of 13, Pollard remained unbeaten even as Hardik was dismissed for 28 out of 19 in the last over.
Earlier, after they had lost Rohit Sharma early, Quinton de Kock set things up for Mumbai with 67 off just 39 balls. For 31 out of 23, Ishan Kishan hung around while Suryajumar smashed 27 out of just 18 bats. Mumbai won the toss and, in Sharjah, elected to bat first. As ever, Rashid Khan was cost effective, returning 1/24 from four overs. Even though they got two wickets each, Sandeep Sharma and Siddarth Kaul were costly.
