Rajasthan Royals Achieved The Target In Just 19.5 Overs:
In the final over of the match, Riyan Parag reached 42 not out of 26 and Rahul Tewatia made an unbeaten 45 out of 28 to carry Rajasthan Royals to a come-from-behind victory over SunRisers Hyderabad. Chasing 159 to win, RR lost the first five overs to their star-studded top three of the returning Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler and skipper Steven Smith. Rashid Khan was caught by Robin Uthappa and Sanju Samson to leave RR struggling at 78/5 in 12 overs.
But the game was turned on its head by an 85-run unbroken stand between Parag and Tewatia and brought RR to a victory that for the longest time looked unlikely. SRH won the toss earlier and batted. They scored 158/4, supported by Manish Pandey’s 54 and David Warner’s 48. For most of their respective innings, both teams bowled well, but Tewatia and Parag maintained their nerves to take the game deep and emerged victorious in the final overs.
