After having been handed a record chase of 224, Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) by four wickets, completing the highest successful run chase in IPL history.
In an over by Sheldon Cottrell, Rahul Tewatia smashed five sixes to turn things around, following Sanju Samson ‘s dismissal, which seemed to have tipped the game in favour of KXIP. In order to help RR stay unbeaten in IPL 2020, Jofra Archer further provided support with a handy cameo.
Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal previously helped the side to post a massive 223/2 total, after being sent to bat at the iconic Sharjah cricket stadium on Sunday in match nine of the Indian Premier League ( IPL) 2020.
In the IPL, Agarwal registered his maiden century off 45 balls, smashing the ball to all corners of the ground before being dismissed for 106. Rahul also scored an impressive half-century, before dying for 69. Glenn Maxwell and Nicholas Pooran helped, with some lovely strokes, to finish the KXIP innings effectively.
