In Match 41 of the 2020 IPL at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 10 wickets. An unbeaten partnership of 116 runs was stitched between Quinton de Kock and Ishan Kishan to help MI get over the line, after a paltry target of 115 runs was handed to the side. With De Kock accumulating 46 runs off the same number of balls, Kishan smashed 68 * off 37 deliveries.
CSK had previously finished with a total of 114 runs for the loss of nine wickets. The highest run-scorer was English all-rounder Sam Curran, with 52 runs off 47 deliveries. After being restricted at one point to 43/7, Sam helped the Chennai-based franchise rebuild. The best of the bowlers was Trent Boult, accounting for four wickets while conceding 18 runs. With two wickets each, Jasprit Bumrah and Rahul Chahar further chipped in.
