Rajasthan Royals Were Restricted To 137 Runs By KKR:
In the 12th match of the Indian Premier League ( IPL) 2020 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 37 runs. After being handed a target of 175, the RR was reduced to 137/9 in 20 overs. The highest run-scorer, with none of the other batsmen able to make an impact, was all-rounder Tom Curran (54 *).
Two dismissals each were accounted for by Shivam Mavi, Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Varun Chakravarthy. Earlier, after being sent in to bat, KKR posted a total of 174/6 in 20 overs. Opener Shubman Gill was the side ‘s top run-scorer, scoring 47 runs out of 34 deliveries in an innings consisting of five and six boundaries.
With KKR losing wickets at regular intervals and no batsman really getting set after Gill, to help KKR post a competitive total, Eoin Morgan hit an unbeaten 34 out of 23. The pick of the bowlers for RR was English pacer Jofra Archer, accounting for two wickets while conceding only 18 runs.
