Kolkata Knight Riders Had Posted A Target Of 192 Runs For Rajasthan Royals:
In Match 54 of the India Premier League ( IPL) 2020 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 60 runs. In 20 overs, after being sent in to bat, KKR posted a total of 191 runs for the loss of seven wickets. The highest run-scorer was skipper Eoin Morgan, smashing 68 runs off 35 deliveries. Five boundaries and six sixes constituted Morgan’s innings.
In an innings consisting of a boundary and three sixes, Andre Russell further made his presence known with an 11-ball 25. The choice of the bowlers, accounting for three wickets, was Rahul Tewatia. With two wickets, Karthik Tyagi further chipped in. With openers Ben Stokes and Robin Uthappa scoring 19 runs out of the opening over bowled by Pat Cummins, the RR batsmen began the chase on a strong note.
Cummins, however, made a powerful return in fast succession to account for the openers and skipper Steve Smith. From this early jolt, the Rajasthan batsmen struggled to recover, eventually scoring only 131 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. The pick of the bowlers was Cummins, accounting for four wickets. With two wickets each, Shivam Mavi and Varun Chakravarthy further chipped in.
