Delhi Capitals Had Earlier Posted A Target Of 185 Runs:
In the 23rd match of the Indian Premier League ( IPL) 2020 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Delhi Capitals (DC) beat Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 46 runs. RR skipper Steve Smith sent DC in to bat, posting a total of 184 runs for the loss of eight wickets.
The highest run-scorer was Shimron Hetmyer, smashing 45 runs off 24 deliveries in an innings consisting of a boundary and five sixes. With a knock of 39 runs off 30 deliveries, all-rounder Marcus Stoinis provided support, hitting four sixes. The pick of the bowlers, accounting for three wickets, was English pacer Jofra Archer.
After being handed a target of 185 runs, none of the RR batsmen managed to get going, with the likes of Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson and Steve Smith dismissed cheaply. With Ravichandran Ashwin and Stoinis accounting for two wickets, Kagiso Rabada completed three dismissals as DC continued their winning streak.
