The most-awaited Indian Premier League 2020 auction will be held on December 19 in Kolkata. 971 players from all across the globe are expected to go under the bidding process during the IPL 2020 auction. Ahead of the IPL 2020 auction, quite a few players were traded while some were retained by their respective franchises. However, the IPL 2020 auction will be a final chance for all the franchises to evaluate their shortcomings and complete the side.

For the IPL 2020 auction, Australia’s Glenn Maxwell and Pat Cummins have listed their base price at the maximum of INR 2 crore (USD 279,000 approx). Fellow Australian Mitchell Starc, the highest wicket-taker in the last two ODI World Cups, was missing so as, England’s Test skipper Joe Root, among the 971 names to have registered for the auction.
Among Indian players, Robin Uthappa has listed his base price at INR 1.5 crore (USD 209,000 approx).
Meanwhile, England’s Tom Banton, who recently made his international debut and was later in action in the T10 league, has entered the IPL auction for the first time. The 21-year-old has listed his base price at INR 1 crore (USD 139,500 approx).
