Team India is going to play three T20 internationals against West Indies which is scheduled to start on Friday. There will be the reunion of India’s spin-twins Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav.
Both of them haven’t played a single T20 together so far this year. In the 2017 Champions Trophy, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have impressed with their extraordinary batting and bowling skills.
Recently skipper Virat Kohli said: “The increased depth in batting was one of the reasons why Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal were excluded, If all teams in the world are batting till 9 and 10, then why can’t we?”
After Yadav’s poor performance in IPL 2019, the selectors of the Indian squad had effectively sidelined the bowler. Kuldeep has played his last T20 In February. Yadav has excellent wicket-taking skills. He has been taken 35 wickets in 18 T20s with an economy rate of 6.72.
Sanjay Bangar, former team India batting coach said “I’m a massive Kuldeep Yadav fan and in terms of strike rates you see he is the quickest to 100 ODI wickets, And even in the shorter format, if you look at the match we won in England, he picked up five wickets at a time where the opposition was running away with the match.
“I wouldn’t count out Kuldeep Yadav. It is just that he had a couple of poor games in the IPL 2019. For him, this IPL 2020 season is going to be a massive factor and if he does really well, it will be very hard to keep him out,” Sanjay Bangar added.
The selectors of the Indian cricket team have lost confidence in spinner Yuzvendra Chahal too he has only played in seven matches this year in India colors. But the twin spinners Chahal and Yadav have remained as a wicket-takers with fifty scalps in 34 T20s.
“I think this is the right series to get them back. West Indies struggled against wrist spin,” The newly elected president of HCA ( Hyderabad cricket association) Mohammed Azharuddin said.
The first T20i of three-match series where India is playing against west indies is will begin from Friday which is scheduled in Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi international cricket stadium.
