Right-handed opening batsman Mayank Agarwal, who scored a double century in the last game, was out early today. Agarwal registered a rare failure as he was dismissed cheaply by Al-Amin Hossain. In his domestic career, Agarwal scored his maiden triple century in 2017 during his first-class cricket, where he made 304 not out batting for Karnataka against Maharastra in the Ranji Trophy of 2017-18.
While in his domestic career Al- Amin Hossain also took 12 wickets for Khulna and defeated Chittagong by eight wickets in Jessore in 2011. He took an average of 9 for 58, helping Khulna. And now, he dismissed Mayank early in this match of India vs Bangladesh, providing an early breakthrough for his team.
Meanwhile, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami’s, the Indian fast bowling trio, wreaked havoc on Bangladesh as they bundled out visitors for 106 runs on the opening day of the historic Day-Night Test match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Ishant Sharma, leading India with the ball, claimed his 10th five-wicket haul in Test cricket. In the second session, Ishant picked up three wickets, while Mohammed Shami claimed one wicket. Ishant gave the hosts the first breakthrough in the first session as he got Imrul Kayes out cheaply in the seventh-place over.
Mohammed Shami also got the reward for bowling tight lines as he sent back Mushfiqur Rahim on zero. The visitors faced another huge blow as Liton Das was retired-hurt after being struck by a fierce Shami bouncer and was replaced by Mehidy Hasan as a substitute.
