After suffering a huge loss of 10-wicket in the series, now the Indian team will look to keep their hopes of winning the three-match One-day International (ODI) series alive in which they will take on Australia on Friday in Rajkot. Virat Kohli, the captain of the Indian cricket team, who came in to bat at the number four slot, failed with the willow as India was bowled out for a below standard score of 255.
David Warner and Aaron Finch, the Australian team openers, then scored unbeaten hundreds to help the visitors go 1-0 up in the series. The difficulty for Team India continues ahead of the second ODI as Rishabh Pant, who was hit on his head in the first ODI, was ruled out due to a concussion injury.

Dhawan’s choice for the third slot
Opener Shikhar Dhawan said after the loss in Mumbai that if the team management asks him to bat at the number three slot, he would do so. Dhawan, who is a great batsman and was the top scorer for India in the first game, mentioned that it was up to the skipper where he wants to bat.
The right-handed top-order batsman Shreyas Iyer, who came in to bat at the number five slot registered a rare failure on Tuesday. With Risabh Pant out of this must-win game, Indian captain Kohli will look to add more balance to the team.
Change in pace by captain
By bringing in Navdeep Saini, who impressed one and all during the Twenty20 International series against Sri Lanka, captain Virat Kohli might look to make a change in the pace attack as the bowlers had a poor game in Mumbai.
Ravindra Jadeja looks to keep his position and so the choice would be between the two wrist spinners; Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav, who conceded 55 runs in the first ODI.
