On Friday, Indian skipper Virat Kohli steals the show at Rajiv Gandhi international stadium. Kohli has driven team India to 6 wicket win over West Indies in the opener match of three-match T20I series. He has shown his aggressive performance by the outrageous strokes. Kohli has smashed 94 runs in 50 deliveries ( not out).
Virat Kohli walked out to bat after Rohit Sharma’s dismissal in the 4th over. In the company of KL Rahul, he put up a very good partnership in the 208 run chase. However, Kohli seemed to struggle with his batting which is quite unusual.
Slowly team India captain back into the track and started hitting big shots straight into the boundaries. He played an impressive knock of 94*(50) not out. Along with Kohli KL Rahul too played a brilliant knock of 62 runs off 40 deliveries.
Kohli Advises To Young Cricketers
After receiving the man of the match award in the post-match presentation ceremony, Virat Kohli said “To young batsmen watching, don’t follow the first half of my innings. I was batting poorly at that time. I didn’t want to put KL Rahul under pressure but I couldn’t get going. Luckily got that one over from Holder, and then I began to analyze why I’m going wrong. Realized I’m not a slogger but a timer instead, and then changed my playing style,”
Virat Kohli Imitates Williams
In the 16th over Virat Kohli was seen hilariously imitating Williams. In 2017, Williams had given Kohli a ‘notebook-style’ goodbye after taking his wicket and Virat Kohli had clearly not forgotten about that.
