India are set to host England at the brand new Motera stadium in Ahemdabad for their third Test. Motera is the world’s largest stadium and the upcoming pink-ball Test is set to be a historic one. The iconic stadium in Gujarat boasts the capacity to host 1,10,000 spectators. However, only 50% of the crowd will be allowed for the upcoming Test match, keeping the COVID-19 protocol in mind. The third Test is scheduled between 24-29 February. The Motera stadium previously hosted the ‘Namaste Trump’ event back in 2020. Former US President Donald Trump visited India for his election campaign as PM Narendra Modi played a host to him.

- Ahmedabad’s Motera Stadium will host its first international game on February 24.
- The same stadium hosted the ‘Namaste Trump’ event, exactly a year back.
- The Motera stadium complex has a total of two training grounds with 9 pitches and another 11 pitches. Each diverse in nature. Each dressing room is interconnected to two gyms and also contains a big warm-up area.
- The area has individual space for trainers, physics and coaches.
- The absence of pillars and floodlight towers gives u obstructed view of on-field action.
- An innovative drainage system that allows the action to resume within 30 minutes of heavy rains
- The 55-room clubhouse has a 3D mini theatre, gymnasium, steam and sauna, a squash court and an Olympic-size swimming pool.
- Parking for 3,000 cars and 10,000 two-wheelers
