Up to this point, England’s experienced bowler James Anderson has had a great series versus India. He has taken 13 wickets in 3 games so far, and he shows no signs of slowing down. However, with only 4 days between the 3rd and 4th Tests, England’s greatest Test bowler might be sidelined for the September 2 Oval Test. Lets look at Will James Anderson Play Oval Test

Anderson has appeared in all 3Tests so far, and head coach Chris Silverwood may decide to rest his star bowler. Earlier in the post-match news conference, India captain Virat Kohli suggested that he may try to rest his bowlers in order to manage their workload, which might imply that a few bowlers could be sidelined in the following 2 games.
“What I don’t want to do is break them. We’ve got a lot of cricket in front of us. The Tests are coming thick and fast now. Back-to-back, it is difficult,” said England head coach Chris Silverwood.

In the withdrawal of his pace counterpart Stuart Broad, Anderson has effectively led the assault thus far. In addition, the experienced has delivered 116.3 overs, only 2 overs fewer than debutant Ollie Robinson (116.5).
“These guys are giving everything, every day when we are out on the field and we have got to make sure we are looking after them. But I won’t be making any decisions or judgments right now,” he added.
Likewise, Anderson had said firmly before the campaign that he intends to play all 5 Tests, even when he was experiencing a minor niggle prior to the second Test at Lord’s. And, given his recent form, Silverwood acknowledges it will be difficult to persuade Anderson to take some time away before the last Test at Old Trafford on 10 September.
Following the India series, England will contest the Ashes in Australia beginning in December. With Jofra Archer already ruled out of the five-match series versus Australia, the management does not want Anderson to be exhausted.
