The Australian fast bowler Ken Richardson in a recent interaction shared his experience as to how he felt when he was told that his health showed the symptoms of COVID 19.
“I was taken aback in the beginning, I thought that someone was joking with me and I just wanted to ward away from me as a nightmare” said Richardson in an interview with a leading sports website.
The incident happened during Australia and New Zealand match series. In the middle of the series, Richardson was pulled out as he was suspected to be suffering from COVID 19 infection. However, the reports showed that he was not infected but he could not get back to the game, as the complete series was called off in the wake of coronavirus infection.
The 29-year-old Australian pacer further said, “I was extremely scared because, before the series started I was on a trip to a foreign country. And out of the four symptoms, one was found to be prominent. To be clear on what exactly was happening, I had to take the tests.”
“All that I had was faith on God and the positivity within to deal with the situation. This is how I overcame my testing time” added Richardson.

All the international players have been awaiting the start of the 13 IPL season for the year 2020. The IPL matches which were supposed to start from 29th March was earlier suspended till 15th April. Now rumors have been going around that, the tournament might be canceled the lockdown call which was given by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for 21 days. There were altogether 17 players from Australia who were supposed to take part in this.
Venting his views on it, Richardson said, “All that we can do is wait for the orders. It is a sensitive and serious situation and concerns everyone across the globe. Like all our fans even we are eagerly waiting to hear from BCCI.”
