Australia Tour Of South Africa
Australia currently touring South Africa in which both the teams are opposing each other for three-match ODIs series and three-match T20Is series. The tour started on February 21st and the last game will be held on March 7.
The first game was T20I, in which Australia defeated the South Africa team by 107 runs. In the second T20I match, South Africa won by 12 runs. And the third and the final T20I took place on February 26, where the Aussies won the game by a margin of 97 runs.
Heinrich Klaasen’s Maiden Century
The first ODI game took place on 29 February at Boland Park, and the keeper-batsman, Heinrich Klaasen made his international maiden century in the match and helped South Africa to lift a score of 291.
Klaasen played significantly in the match and scored an unbeatable 123 off 114 deliveries. He hit 7 boundaries and 4 sixes during his innings and led his team to win the match by 74 runs.
David Miller made his second successive half-century in this format. He made 64 runs in 70 balls and moved South Africa to a competitive total in the opening ODI against Australia. The duo progressed their partnership and made an alliance of 149 runs in 131 deliveries.
Australia Innings
Steve Smith hit 76 runs in 94 balls, and the second-highest scorer in the game from Australia’s side was Marnus Labuschagne. Marnus managed to score 41 off 51 deliveries.
They helped Australia to chase the huge total that was marked by South Africa. The rest of the Aussie players failed to show any significant performance in the game.
The next match of the tour will be held on March 4 where both the teams will be seen locking horns to win the second ODIs at Mangaung Oval, Bloemfontein.
