The Pakistan bowler Hasan Ali is set to miss the upcoming Australia tour which is scheduled in November, as the fast bowler complained of back issues during the training session leading up to the ongoing domestic Twenty20 competition.
Hasan Ali was the first Pakistan bowler to achieve the most expensive figures in a World Cup game and hasn’t featured in any international game ever since then.
Sources at National Cricket Academy said Hasan Ali is still in his back rehabilitation and has not yet fully recovered from the injury which ruled him out from the competitive cricket. The source also noted that the bowler did not participate in gym or bowling training sessions as there seems to be no change in Ali’s condition despite a regular check done by the specialists.
“He is as yet nursing torment in his back and has not yet recovered completely to compete in competitive cricket. Right now Hasan isn’t participating in the gym training and bowling training and the specialists connected with him are checking on his condition after at regular intervals. There is no improvement in his condition despite everything he needs treatment and rehabilitation.” said a National Cricket Academy source.
The Pakistani pacer, who recently married an Indian girl Shamia Arzoo in Dubai, missed out on the recently finished 3-match ODI and Twenty20 International series against Sri Lanka.
Pakistan’s tour to Australia which is a part of the ongoing ICC Test Championship comprises three Twenty20 Internationals and two Test matches. Further, Pakistan will announce their respective T20I and Test squads next week with Azhar Ali leading the Test side and Babar Azam the T20 squad.
