Harbhajan Singh spills out the beans
The mini-auction, ahead of IPL 2021, is scheduled to be held on February 18, 2021. Harbhajan Singh will be expecting a bidder for himself considering the plethora of experience he carries under his wings. The 2011 World Cup winner, however, didn’t feature in the 2020 IPL edition. Many assumed it is due to a bad relation between Bhajji and CSK’s skipper MS Dhoni. Nevertheless, the Indian veteran has disclosed the reason behind his big decision to skip the latest edition of India’s top tier T20 league.
Harbhajan Singh stated that he wanted to stay with his family following the COVID-19 outbreak all over the world. He prioritised his family first and decided to skip the money-laden cricketing league. “I am looking forward to the IPL, I am preparing hard for it. Even last year, I was keen on playing but because of the pandemic, I could not. I needed to be around my family. At that stage I thought skipping IPL was the right decision,” Harbhajan told Cricbuzz in a recent interaction.
